Drawing from the same well as the likes of Flannery O’Connor and William Faulkner, Hutchens grasps the duality of the American South and it’s denizens -- the good, the bad and the ugly. His sixth LP working with veteran producer David Barbe (Drive By Truckers/Son Volt), “Love Songs For Losers” opens itself up a little more with each listen exposing the undertones of a larger story.
